One of our favorite fly patterns, there is nothing like watching a hungry trout break the surface and slam a hopper. Even if you miss the hook set, it’s a thrill to witness. This fly is a mid to late summer pattern and is perfect for trailing a dropper behind it. Use a nymph, emerger, midge or even a smaller dry fly. Hopper dropper, it’s fun to say and it works!
