Las Pampas Lodge offers the ultimate Argentine trout fishing experience. The remote location, the diversity of waters, and their 100% Argentine staff makes this a complete package that offers up an authentic Patagonian fly fishing experience guided by the only Certified Tenkara Lodge in South America. With a multitude of spring creeks, small freestone rivers, and trophy still waters as well as a mix of rainbow, brown and brook trout all within a small radius, anglers have an array of options that would take weeks to fully sample. Do it on a rod and reel, or tenkara – it’s your choice. The Lodge is located in the Chubut Providence of Central Patagonia within the heart of the Rio Pico area.
Each morning you’ll leave the lodge in a well-equipped 4×4 truck and drive on rough, unimproved back roads that are interesting and adventuresome in their own right. You’ll be taken to the upper reaches of the Rio Pico that are accessed exclusively by Las Pampas Lodge. The river breaks into 4 or 5 channels that flow swiftly through open pasturelands before it’s joined by two small freestones. The next 10 miles of the Pico offer abundant and large rainbows and browns that can surpass the 27” mark. These sections of the river require permission from local landowners and keys to locked gates, both of which Las Pampas has. There are more than 25 miles of water, endless wading opportunities and five distinct floats before crossing into Chile west, through the Andes.
When combined with its unique location, distance from other lodges, and exclusive access to private waters, Las Pampas Lodge provides a fly fishing experience like no other in the region.
Add to that gourmet meals featuring locally grown, organic vegetables, prime cuts of beef, the best red wines of Argentina and guest rooms reminiscent of a main house on a Patagonia estancia, and you can be certain when you come to Las Pampas, that you are in one of the best lodges in South America.
April 9th-17th, 2021 we’re heading down to Urban Dorado Anglers and Las Pampas Lodge for pure fishing heaven, total indulgence and an Argentinian experience like no other. Use your rod and reel, use your tenkara fly rod, use one or use them both. We’re about having fun, catching fish and living life in a big way. Both lodges offer fantastic fishing for species including golden dorado, big brown and beautiful rainbows. Whether you do it on a regular fly rod and reel or explore American Tenkara fishing methods, these lodges will get you into plenty of fish and can help you learn something new… maybe even offer a new challenge. The point is to live big and full and have fun. The staff and guides at UDA and LPL are experts at both styles of fly fishing and have the gear if you don’t. Here’s the tentative dates and itinerary which may vary by a day or two since we’re planning so far out. This will all be settled well in advance so that you can plan and make arrangements with lots of time.

4/11 – 4/17: 6 Nights/5 Fishing Days
Day 1 4/9 – EZE Airport – UDA Transfer. Fish Parana Guazi River Delta. Sleep at UDA Delta Luxury Lodge
Day 2 4/10- Fish Rio Parana Mini River Delta. Sleep at UDA Delta Luxury Lodge.
Day 3 4/11- Transfer UDA-AEP Airport. Flight to Esquel. Transfer to LPL.
Day 4 4/12- Fish Rio Pampa
Day 5 4/13- Fish Terremoto Spring Creek
Day 6 4/14- Fish Lago 1-5
Day 7 4/15- Fish Channels of the Rio Pico
Day 8 4/16- Fish Lago 1-5
Day 9 4/17- Transfer to Esquel Airport. Flight EQS-AEP. Rest and enjoy a night & dinner in BA. Depart to US next morning.
*Day 10 4/18- Hosts (*) to be picked up in BA and transferred to Black River Lodge, Uruguay. Guests depart to US

Urban Dorado Anglers Delta Luxury Lodge (2nights/2 Days Fishing): $1650 per angler
Las Pampas Lodge (6 nights/5 Fishing Days): $4500 per angler
Total (not including airfare): $6150 per angler
We announced this trip early to give you plenty of time to plan, make arrangements, and figure it all out. Buenos Aires is an incredible city. Argentina is an incredible country and UDA and LPL are incredible lodges with amazing fisheries. This can be a rod and reel or a tenkara adventure – or a combination of both. Forget your lattes, THIS is what you work for!
Flight Information:
While you can book flights directly on your own, we travel a lot and utilize a service. They ALWAYS find better deals than we can on our own, so I do encourage their use. Plan on about $1200-$1800 for airfare based on a Denver to Miami, Miami to Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires to Esquel, roundtrip per person. Business Class could be from $2500 -$2800 per person. We recommend booking through Ben’s Travel Service but the choice is yours.
Payment Schedule:
Las Pampas is a small Lodge. It accommodates 8 anglers double occupancy, in 4 rooms. It is an intimate and spectacular Argentinian experience that just adds another dimension to the incredible fishing. You will be spoiled. I promise.
To hold your place and confirm your booking a 50% deposit should be made, space is very limited. A final payment of the trip balance is due 90 days before the trip, think December 2020 = $4613.00

ARGENTINA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: These are unusual times, typically our Argentine fishing packages, are considered non-refundable — unless a client is replaced -both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. However, we understand due to covid, travel restricts, etc. have happened or borders have closed and this has left many anglers in a pinch losing funds. To give you peace of mind and confidence, we are holding trip funds in escrow so that if the trip has to be cancelled due to uncontrollable reasons concerning covid restrictions or travel limitations, your money will be returned.
